The Haltec DS-1 double seal valve cap does something an ordinary cap cannot: it lets you gauge and inflate straight through it, so nobody has to unscrew and lose a cap to check a tire. Two seals inside an all metal housing, with a high temperature O-ring, and the seal tightens rather than loosens if the core fails.
